New Year 7 iPad scheme
New Year 7 joiners will be given the option to join the iPad scheme with a 3 year lease including insurance cover and warranty. The lease can be paid as a one-off upfront cost or over 36 months by monthly direct debit payments.

Who pays for the iPad?
The iPad scheme is paid for by parents.
Does the iPad have a warranty?
The iPads have a warranty for five years, regardless of when a student joins RTS. The warranty does not affect your insurance claims. If the device is faulty then it will either be repaired or replaced depending on the fault.
If the device is damaged then this is not covered by the warranty, but by the insurance.
How do I make an insurance claim?
If the iPad is issued to the student in Years 7-9 and you need to make a claim, please contact the school directly. RTS will handle all communication with the insurance company.
For students in Years 10 & 11 and whose iPad insurance has expired; you will have the option to have all repairs conducted in-house by RTS by an on-site IT engineer. These repairs will be at a reduced cost. You may also choose to have the iPad repaired externally at your own cost.
What if I cannot afford to pay?
If you wish to contact someone to discuss iPad payment, or if you are having difficulty, contact the School Office in the first instance by email or the Finance Team via accounts@rts.richmond.sch.uk.
