There will be a creative arts showcase with music and art projects as well as food, drink, fun events and house stalls.

We will be running a second hand book stall raising money for the school, if you have any books you are willing to donate please ask your child to bring them in and drop them to Ms Nockolds in the library.

GCSE Language Oral Exams (Y9-11)

These will take place as scheduled. Please check email for timings and instructions for those students in Y9-11.

Years 7-10

Resources are available for Years 7-10 via email sent to parents/carers and or Year Group Notices.

School will reopen to all students as normal, with registration at 08:35, on Wednesday 22 February.

Ms Dooley, Head Teacher, is "overjoyed that the new facility will soon be available for our students, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on their learning and development".

Construction will commence this academic year (2023), and it is expected to be completed by the summer of 2024. Please see the plans here.

#AskAboutAsthma is back for 2022. 

Now in its sixth year the campaign is about making simple changes to children and young people’s care that will make a big difference to how they experience their asthma:  

1. get an asthma action plan in place 

2. understand how to use inhalers correctly 

3. schedule an asthma review – every year and after every attack. And for 2022, we have added a fourth ask:  

4. consider air pollution and its impact on lung health – we want to ensure that every asthma conversation considers indoor and outdoor air pollution.  

For 2022, #AskAboutAsthma campaign will run from 12 – 18 September, ahead of the annual rise in asthma attacks when students go back to school after their summer holidays. 

Please help share the message so that all colleagues, parents and children are in the know about #AskAboutAsthma.

We will have a variety of activities on offer to show our new cohort and to introduce the RTS Way to both children and parents/carers. Current students will be on hand to demonstrate lessons and to answer any questions that may arise about life here at RTS.

The primary focus and topic of the evening was 'Safeguarding' and was hosted by Mr Cornwall, Deputy Head and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Following on from Mr Cornwall's talk there was a short presentation by FoRTS.

The Senior Leadership Team were then pleased to host a 'Question & Answer' session in response to both the topic and also to answer questions submitted by parents/carers in advance of the evening.
