History of RTS
In 2013 Richmond upon Thames College, Haymarket Media Group, Harlequins, Clarendon School, Waldegrave School, Richmond Council and Achieving for Children began working together to create an exciting Education and Enterprise Campus on the existing Richmond upon Thames College site on Egerton Road in Twickenham. Their ambition was to create an outstanding Campus for education, skills and enterprise.
In June 2014, the Department for Education gave conditional approval for the Richmond upon Thames School Trust to establish a new co-educational, non-selective and non-faith-based school for 11 to 16 year-olds on the existing College site, opening in September 2017; admitting five forms of entry (150 children) per year.
In October 2016, our Trust achieved full planning permission for the school's permanent accommodation on Egerton Road and in February 2017, we signed our Funding Agreement, enabling RTS to open in September 2017.
