Students at The Richmond upon Thames School celebrate another year of fantastic GCSE grades

Head Teacher Ms Dooley commented, "Our students have worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of everything they have achieved. Their results reflect their dedication, excellent teaching and the unwavering support of our families. This point marks not the end but the beginning of their next chapters. At RTS, our belief in Excellence Through Endeavour is brought to life by our students every day, and today’s results are a wonderful celebration of their resilience, ambition and success."

Results were strong across the board, but some individual subject areas shone: Biology, with 96% achieving grades 4-9; French, with 90% achieving grades 4-9; Statistics, with 86% achieving grades 4-9; English, with 88% achieving grades 4-9; and Maths, with 85% achieving grades 4-9.

A number of departments also gained excellent grades at the highest levels, such as: French, with 70% achieving grades 7-9; Statistics, with 51% achieving grades 7-9; Biology, with 38% achieving grades 7-9; Physics, with 37% achieving grades 7-9; and History, with 35% achieving grades 7-9.

Head of Year 11, Ms Saxby, said, "This year group has approached every challenge with determination and maturity. They have supported one another, embraced every opportunity to learn and thoroughly deserve these excellent results. We are excited to see them take their next steps and wish every one of them the very best for the future."

Highlights from individual students include: Ria with 6  grade 9’s, 2 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7 and, Nikolina with 4 grade 9’s , 4 grade 8’s and 1 grade 7.
